Arguably the most romantic river valley in Wales, a balloon flight in the Wye Valley takes you over an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that has been an inspiration for the nation's most visionary poets and artists.
We love it so much we've got some fabulous launch sites - which launch site we fly from is dependant on the wind direction on the day of the flight (we wouldn't want your flight heading out over the Channel or into the mountains!).
Tintern Abbey - one of the most picturesque and romantic sites in all Wales was an inspiration for both Wordsworth and Turner, who produced a selection of fabulous water colours from sketches he made there. Our balloon flights take off in a field right next to this magnificent 12th century Abbey, with its wide arches and massive sandstone columns.
South Wales is notable for its wild mountain scenery and striking castles, none more splendid perhaps than Raglan Castle, surrounded by fortress defences. Dating from the mid 15th century it was among the last of the 'true' castles to be built.
Reportedly the birth place of Henry V, that's the Henry notable for a famous victory at Agincourt, Monmouth is a pretty medieval town with a colourful history. Taking off from the banks of the river Wye, just outside the walls, you may see the ruined tower where Henry was supposedly born.
This is a beautiful setting on the banks of the River Usk, which while less well known than the Wye Valley matches it for beauty and stunning scenery. It flows from its source in the Brecon Beacons National Park through Brecon and along a broad valley that separates the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains.
