SOMERSET

Hot air balloon flying over Somerset

Somerset – balloon flights of fancy

Choose Glastonbury as a launch site and you'll enjoy extensive views across the Somerset Levels, as a backdrop to the historic Glastonbury Tor - without the hill, the steps and the leg work.

Ride the runes

When you fly above the Somerset Levels you really do feel like you're on top of the world with the horizon opening out in all directions to the Bristol Channel, Chew Valley, South Wales, over the Cheddar Gorge with its breathtaking Wookey Hole cave, the Mendips and way off to the South West.

Look more closely and you may see Glastonbury's evocative and awe-inspiring ruined Abbey set in 36 acres of peaceful parkland. Fly over Street or take off from Wells, England's smallest city, and your view will be momentarily dominated by the grandeur of the beautiful 13th century Wells Cathedral.

Ancient runes, Arthurian legend, mists and myths, take a balloon ride in Somerset and your experience can only be magical.
