2009 Bristol Balloon Fiesta Launch

The official launch of the 2009 Bristol Balloon Fiesta took place on the morning of Friday 12th June. It was an extra special launch as over 20 balloons took off from the runway of the Bristol International Airport.

This meant a very early start for the Pilots and Crew as they had to meet much earlier than our normal morning meeting time of 6am. So as not to cause any disruption to flights from the Airport the balloons took off just after 5am. We flew the Mall Balloon.
